Once upon a time there was a girl named Emily. She was an extremely hard working and determined person. Her dad died at a young age and her mom worked two jobs just to put food on the table. Emily was always fond of dance and was always intrigued by dancers. One of Emily’s dream was to always be apart of the Middle School dance team. She would watch dance videos all night and and her favorite type of dance was jazz. On her 11th birthday, her mom got her, her first pair of jazz shoes. She was full of joy and was very excited to use them.
At the middle school there was a junior dance team that eventually came to the high school and joined the High School’s dance team. Tryouts for the dance team were exhausting, hard and took a lot of effort. 99% of the people that tried out for the MS school team trained outside of school with private teachers. These private lessons were way too expensive for Emily and she couldn’t afford them. The tryouts were approaching fairly quickly and Emily started training but she had only a week to practice. The day of the auditions she was fairly nervous but she had a positive mindset and she kept going. Unfortunately she didn’t make the dance team an d she was heartbroken. For the next few days she was really sad and wasn’t the bubbly kid she usually was. But she didn’t stop. She trained by herself for next 8 months and became the best she possibly could. She stretched twice a day, ate healthy food and did everything she could. The tryouts came around again and she felt more prepared this time around and was her fingers crossed that she would make it. After all the kids performed they were all called into the gym. The names that were called were the people who made it. When Emily heard her she was the happiest person ever. She was on Cloud 9. This just goes to show if you have a dream follow it and you’ll succeed.
